Editor's Note by Janine Cundy

I'm excited to announce the addition of a new member to The Freerunner's staff this month! Chris Kessler has been an author for The Freerunner since the very beginning, and is now stepping up even further to take on the responsibilities of Assistant Editor.

A writer from Roanoke, Virginia, Chris is a spoken word poet who is currently seeking his bachelor's degree Creative Writing from Virginia Tech University. Becoming part of American Parkour has had a great influence in his life, and he's "excited to help push The Freerunner to reach its potential!"

Welcome aboard, Chris! We're happy to have you.

The Kindred Perspective by Chris Kessler

One of the main benefits of parkour is the community. However, the prelude to a community is the group of friends that each individual trains with on a daily basis. These are the people that push us to become what we can become. These are the people who mean the most to our movement. This is my kindred perspective.

The Secret Language of Fencesby Jeffrey Lange

This beautiful piece of creative writing comes to us from a brand new author out of Cleveland. Let's take a moment to welcome Jeffrey Lange to our group of authors!

Jeffrey also spent time freerunning in Chicago while studying Creative Writing. Writing for The Freerunner gives him a chance to combine both of these passions. In addition to parkour and writing, he is an avid fan of comic books and action movies.

If you'd like a chance to write for The Freerunner, email janine@americanparkour.com to talk it out!
